First I need to ...

First I need to say that the entire staff at Camelback exceeded our expectations. WOW, WOW, WOW! Every single person we had contact with was friendly, helpful, courteous and went above and beyond to answer questions, help, etc. From the staff at Outdoor Adventures to valet, check-in, restaurants, and throughout the facility...just WOW! I recently stayed one overnight with five other adult ladies to celebrate a 30th birthday. We chose Camelback for the outdoor adventures and purchased the Adrenaline Trio. The 1000' zipline and mountain coaster were a blast, but we could've passed on the sunbowl tubing. It's not a long or steep hill so it was just 'meh' for our group. The 1000' zipline was our test run since none of us in our group had ever ziplined before but we loved it so much we ended up purchasing tickets for the 4000'. I highly suggest doing the longer zip line. Amazing views and what a ride! I would likely purchase the 4000' zipline and mountain coaster for any future trips and not bother with the shorter zipline or sunbowl tubing. We ate at Trails End Pub & Grille for dinner and the food was pretty good, service was fine. We did not participate in any of the water park activities. We stayed in a room with an outdoor balcony that slept 6 and it was clean and fine for the one overnight. I do need to say that the check-in process needs some improvement. We waited in line for about 15 minutes before getting to the desk. After standing at the desk to review name, address, credit card info, etc., (which took about 8 to 10 minutes for whatever reason), I was told our room wasn't ready. Totally fine because we were about an hour early for check-in but was a little frustrating to go over all that info just to be told the room wasn't ready. We were given the wrist bands that serve as the room key but had to go back in line when room was ready to have them activated. There has to be a better way. Also, we had the option to pay for self parking ($25) or valet ($40). Now, in my opinion, overnight guests should not have to pay for parking, unless valet is chosen. We're already spending a good amount of money on the room, right? Anyway, we opted to do self parking and were given instructions to the self parking lot. After driving around for about 10 minutes, we could not find any vacant spaces so we ended up driving back to do valet anyway. It may be a good idea to have a designated lot for overnight guests only that want to self park? Overall, we had a great experience but I'm going to say this again, it was the staff throughout the resort that made it that way. Great job to the hiring managers and kudos to all the staff that made our stay a memorable one. Every person in our group said the same thing over and over again.....we can't believe how great the staff is.

In comparison to Kalahari, ...

In comparison to Kalahari, it is smaller and not as many rides, but every time I come to Camelback I am happier and extremely pleased. Rooms feel better quality (sheets, features), window and balcony view is amazing. Even the hotel breakfast is top notch! I actually appreciate the smaller waterpark because I have a better grasp of where everyone in my group is. The same types of rides and activities are still there, so you're just as happy with everything.
