Strategic Appointment Strengthens Resort's Mountain Operations Expertise
TANNERSVILLE, Penn. - As part of its continued commitment to excellence and innovation on the mountain and beyond, Camelback Resort is pleased to announce the appointment of Laszlo Otvos as Director of Mountain Operations. In his new role, Otvos oversees all facets of mountain operations, including snowmaking, grooming, water treatment and landscaping. According to Jason Bays, vice president and general manager for the 560-acre resort, Otvos brings a strong track record of success in ski area operations. With a passion for winter and outdoor activities, Otvos brings nearly 15 years of extensive experience in mountain resort management, including oversight of snowmaking, grooming, ski patrol, lifts, and summer mountain activities. His previous roles include leadership positions at Northstar California Resort, Woodward Tahoe, Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, and Disabled Sports USA. Otvos, who is also a certified emergency medical technician (EMT), earned both a bachelor's and an M.S. degree from Babes-Bolyai University.
