The Great Ka-Na-Gawa Wavepool
Kartrite Expedition Journal Entry #4-19 Day 72
In Search of the Great Wave
On our way to one of the most iconic mountains in the world where snowy peaks meet turquoise waters. Without warning a great wave of the open sea rose up. A sudden and oddly strong early morning storm.
Spraying forth water droplets from its grasp, for hours the waves continuously leap skyward before crashing back into the deep blue. Our vessel confidently rode through the onslaught towards the sandy beach.
The rising sun bathed the ocean with its warmth and seemed to calm Neptune from his apparent waking up on the wrong side of the coral. Today, I saw a great sea before me, and its rolling waves called to me.
