Perched Eastern Gray Squirrel

The gray squirrel is the most common squirrel in Pennsylvania and thrives living in towns as well as rurally. They are most active in early mornings and late afternoons, enjoy attempting to break into every bird feeder they find, and use their large tails to keep balanced when jumping from tree to tree. Try to find them nearby in their favorite maple, oak, hickory, or beech trees, all of which are right here on Camelback Mountain.
