Orange Daylily Flower

Feb 05, 2021

Location: Sunny river and stream banks

The orange daylily is often seen throughout Pennsylvania during the summer months. These tall brightly colored flowers were brought into the United States from Europe in the late 1800s and have rapidly spread throughout the region.  It is common to find large patches of orange daylilies on roadsides, river and stream banks, and in the woods basking in the full sun.
