Dew-Soaked Rose Leaves

Finding rose bushes on the Pocono trails isn’t the easiest task. However, many of the nearby parks have an abundance of flowers to find throughout the spring and summer months. Local forests showcase beautiful blooming shrubs like azaleas, Pennsylvania’s state flower the mountain laurel, as well as multiple types of rhododendron. The varieties bloom throughout the summer starting as early as May and lasting into August. The shade-loving rhododendron grows easily in the Poconos Mountains. In July, the boardwalk to Dingmans Falls is one of the best places to be surrounded by beautifully blooming rhododendrons.
