Pennsylvania’s Largest Outdoor Waterpark Launches Summer Season with Fireworks,
Swim Lessons and Live Entertainment
TANNERSVILLE, Penn. – Camelbeach Outdoor Waterpark, Pennsylvania’s largest outdoor waterpark, will open for its 27th season on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 15, with hours from 1 to 7 p.m. Beginning June 16, the park will operate daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Grand Opening Weekend celebration begins Thursday, June 19, with a special appearance by NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Patrick Emerling, who will host a guest meet-and-greet in honor of Camelback Resort’s partnership with Pocono Raceway and NASCAR weekend. Festivities continue Friday through Sunday with live music and giveaways, including an appearance by BEN FM Weekday Morning Show host Kristen Hermann on Saturday, June 21, featuring her curated DJ set and additional prizes.
New and Notable for Camelbeach’s 27th Season
Camelbeach, home to 37 exhilarating mountainside water slides and attractions, is making a splash this season with a variety of new experiences:
- Daily Swim Lessons: Available June 18 through September 1 from 10 to 11 a.m. and 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. with lessons lasting 45 to 60 minutes. Family and friends group lessons (up to 10 participants) are offered Wednesday and Friday evenings. Cost is $35 per person.
- Rival Racer Competitions: Held Fridays through Sundays from 1 to 2 p.m., featuring eight heats with heat winners advancing to a final showdown. Prizes include swag bags, food coupons, T-shirts and sunglasses.
- Friday Fireworks: Starting July 4 and continuing weekly through Labor Day weekend, fireworks begin at dusk, preceded by family friendly movies on Black Bear 6 screen.
- Illusionist Jason Bishop: Performing with his dog Gizmo every Friday and Saturday night from 7:30 to 9 p.m., Bishop brings grand illusions and sleight of hand to Camelbeach’s nighttime programming. The show runs through December 31 (blackout dates apply). Admission is limited to ages 6 and up. Concessions, a cash bar and merchandise will be available. General admission starts at $35; VIP seating is $50. Tickets may be purchased online.
Special Events and Celebration Dates
- June 26: The World’s Largest Swim Lesson at the Olympic Pool takes place from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Participation is free for up to 40 registered guests, who also receive complimentary general admission for the day.
- June 27: National Sunglasses Day runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with giveaways and a 20% savings on sunglasses in partnership with SMITH and Blenders Eyewear.
- July 4: Independence Day festivities begin at 7:30 p.m., featuring Camelbeach’s annual Rubber Ducky Derby to benefit the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Ducks are $5 each. Evening celebrations include live music by Twisted Charm, food, drinks and a fireworks finale.
- July 25: Christmas in July runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with photo ops featuring Santa and his elves, hidden giant prize boxes and the chance to win an overnight stay. A ticket discount promotion runs July 18 to 25.
- July 26 to 27: FlowRider competitions offer two days of practice and racing on Camelbeach’s surf simulator with events and awards for different divisions.
- August 20: Eric Church Ticket Giveaway in celebration of National Radio Day. 92.5 XTU and on-air personality Jeff Kurkjian bring a country-themed party to Camelbeach with an afternoon of giveaways, including Eric Church concert tickets for his Sept. 18 performance at Wells Fargo Center, along with XTU T-shirts, koozies and more.
