FROM DINING WITH A VIEW TO A DELECTABLE RANGE OF MENU CREATIONS
TANNERSVILLE, Pa. –Camelback Lodge and Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark is home to three of the Pocono Mountains’ newest restaurants: Hemispheres, Neptunes and Trails End Pub and Grille, as well as multiple eateries and bars throughout the resort. All restaurants and eateries are open to area residents, the general public and Camelback Resort guests.
Emilio Fabico, Camelback Lodge & Aquatopia general manager says, “We took the reins at developing a food and beverage program that complements each area throughout Camelback Lodge and Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark. Our goal is to make our guests’ dining experience an adventure in and of itself, from the traditional waterpark fare kids love to the fresh seafood adults crave. While we created menus to appeal to guests of all ages and palates, we also try our best to accommodate the dietary needs of our guests should a menu substitution be requested.”
Located just off the lodge lobby, breathtaking views of Camelback Mountain can be seen through the large bay windows inside Hemispheres, a buffet-style restaurant that provides a family atmosphere complete with a fireplace and action-cooking stations. Buffet and menu selections rotate daily and a la carte menus are available so patrons can experience new dishes made with the freshest of ingredients each day. Hemispheres seats 330 people and offers daily breakfast and dinner with an upscale, all-day brunch on Sundays.
Drawing inspiration from the sea, the maritime-themed Neptunes’ hand-made sushi, small plates and fresh seafood selections are just some of the culinary dishes available. Craft beers, wines and specialty cocktails are also served. Located in the heart of the action just off the lodge lobby, Neptunes features a second floor, glass panel panoramic view of Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark and quick access to and from Arcadia Family Entertainment Center. The restaurant’s design depicts the ocean adventures of the brand’s fictitious legendary explorer, Kartrite Van Der Berris, as hues of cobalt, green and indigo greet guests as they enter. Neptunes seats 90 people and is open for lunch and dinner.
Trails End Pub & Grille
The mountainside ski in/ski out pub and grille serves up a gastropub-style menu. Open for lunch, dinner and late night, Trails End Pub & Grille features thirst-quenching cocktails and an eclectic beer and wine selection. During the winter months, patrons can beat the cold when they ski or board right up to the patio, sit by the fire pit and enjoy a meal and warm drinks. No matter the season, the best patio in the Pocono Mountains is at Trails End Pub and Grille. The full-service bar and restaurant offers a broad menu and features a TV and music. Serving gourmet takes on American classics, at the core of the menu are seven burgers made with a proprietary butcher’s blend of the finest farm-raised beef topped with a selection of local artisanal cheeses and other gourmet toppings ranging from smoked bacon to bourbon barbeque sauce, chili or foie gras. Trails End Pub & Grille seats 120 people indoors and 100 people on the outdoor patio. Adjacent to the restaurant is Trails End Gifts, which offers memorable souvenirs of the resort.
World Bazaar & Coffee Shop, Colonial Columns, The Hungry Camel and Sweet Discovery
In addition to the restaurants, several on-site eateries offer options to suit a wide range of tastes. When guests are looking for a break, World Bazaar & Coffee Shop is conveniently located next to the lodge lobby and features coffee drinks, pastries, cookies, fudge and snacks. In between adventures at Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark, guests can refuel at Colonial Columns, a quick-serve restaurant located inside the waterpark entrance. This American-themed waterpark eatery offers burgers, hot dogs, fries, pizza, cold beverages and more. The Hungry Camel, located inside Arcadia, offers guests quick meal selections and cold beverages as they continue on their journey through the rest of the lodge. If a sweet tooth needs to be satisfied, Sweet Discovery offers ice cream and homemade yogurt with an assortment of delicious toppings.
Flyboys and Moroccan Nights
All the fun doesn’t have to be for the kids. When adults are ready to enjoy a break from the slides, pools and rivers, two bars, Flyboys and Moroccan Nights, offer a respite to relax and unwind. Decorated with a replica DHC-2 Beaver Float Plane affectionately named “Spirit of Tannersville,” Flyboys offers both a dry and wet side of the bar. In addition to the swim-up bar, which provides 30 in-pool stools and multiple TVs, are two swim-up cocktail tables. On the dryer side are 12 belly-up stools at the bar. Moroccan Nights is situated at the highest lounging deck level. With a grand, mezzanine floor view, guests can overlook Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark from one of 28 seats surrounding the bar.
Meeting and conference space abounds with 20,000 square feet of flexible meeting and entertainment space at the new Camelback Lodge, in addition to the 18,000 square feet of existing space in the base ski lodges. Camelback Resort is an ideal setting for team building events by integrating indoor and outdoor activities including ropes courses, rock climbing and more, as well as a scenic location for meetings and weddings, school and sports team outings, bar and bat mitzvahs, Sweet 16 parties and other celebrations.

Camelback Resort and Camelbeach Waterpark co-owners Arthur Berry III and Aquatic Development Group CEO Ken Ellis first met on the Saratoga, New York campus of Skidmore College in 1982. Through their friendship and common vision to bring fun to their family and friends, they purchased Camelback Resort in June 2005. Located in the Pocono Mountains, with close proximity to New York City, Philadelphia and metro markets, Camelback Resort is nationally known in the ski industry for converting new skiers and snowboarders in the Northeast to lifetime snowsports enthusiasts. Berry and Ellis have built on the rich history of Camelback Resort by: expanding operations to offer world-recognized terrain-based ski learning programs, winning the coveted Conversion Cup in 2014 from the National Ski Area Association; expanding the snowtubing park to be the largest in the country; adding new attractions at Camelbeach Waterpark, the largest outdoor waterpark in Pennsylvania; and developing Camelback Mountain Adventures, with zip-lines, Segway tours, multiple tree-tops ropes courses and a Mountain Coaster. On May 1, 2015, after nearly two years of construction, Berry and Ellis opened the doors to Camelback Lodge & Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark, offering a mountain-based indoor waterpark hotel and changing Camelback Resort from a seasonal day trip, to an overnight, year-round destination. The $163 million Camelback Lodge & Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark is the largest single expenditure in the 52-year history of Camelback Resort and the largest national ski resort improvement in 2015.
Camelback Lodge & Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark was built in partnership and is co-managed by Stand Rock Hospitality. Comprised of four partners with a long legacy in the indoor and outdoor waterpark and entertainment industry, Pete Helland Jr., Pat Helland, Tim Lucke and Tim Gantz, and are no strangers to grand-scale waterpark resorts.
