Kartrite Expedition Journal Entry #3-05 Day 9
A Leap of Faith, they call it. Well, I ran toward the edge of the cliff at high-speed, and then I stopped just in time at the very end of a rotten fallen log that was overhanging the chasm below. “Did I really want to do this?” I asked myself.
‘CRACK. CRACK. CRACK’ sounded the log. It was as if the tree was giving me a countdown as I anxiously awaited the outcome... 3!.. 2!.. 1!
The rotting wood gave away like a trap door below my feet forcing me into the jump. Plummeting downward I leaned forward like I was instructed to do in jump school. Then, I was freefalling, spinning left then right, rushing faster and faster towards the valley floor below. Pulling the ripcord just in time! WOW!
